Kinabalu Park was established in 1964 and protects a 754-square-kilometer area surrounding Mount Kinabalu. At 4,095 meters, the mountain is the highest peak in Malaysia. Most day tours stop here first after the two-hour, 90-kilometer drive from Kota Kinabalu.

You will explore highland trails, native orchids, and pitcher plants. Sabah Parks strictly enforces closing times, with last entry usually at 3:00 PM.
